Jennifer L. Bishop, PhD

Licensed clinical psychologist in independent practice, experienced in treating children, adolescents, and adults, specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, grief, trauma-related and adjustment disorders, psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic testing, and women’s health. 



Dr. Bishop earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Tennessee, completing her predoctoral internship at Cherokee Health Systems. She is a member of the American, Tennessee, and Knoxville Area Psychological Associations. Dr. Bishop has worked in community mental health, addiction medicine, and integrated primary and specialty care settings. She combines relational, insight-oriented, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based approaches to meet individual needs. She has specialty training in trauma-informed care, personality assessment, and women’s reproductive mental health (infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, birth trauma, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders).
