Anne Whitney, PhD
Licensed clinical psychologist in independent practice, experienced in the psychological treatment of adults with depression, anxiety, grief, post-traumatic stress, and women’s issues.
Dr. Whitney graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1985. Her pre-doctoral internship was completed at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School. She is a member of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Whitney has worked in inpatient, partial-hospitalization, and outpatient community mental health settings with adults, adolescents and children, and has been in private practice since 1990. She views psychotherapy as a process of growth and healing where issues of mind, body, and spirit are addressed in a collaborative relationship. Therapeutic approaches include supportive, insight-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and hypnotherapeutic interventions, dependent on the specific needs of the client.
