Dr. Masini earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Louisiana State University following an internship at the Michael E. DeBakey V.A. Medical Center in Houston, TX. Her career includes clinical, administrative and academic settings – mostly in East Tennessee but also in her native Puerto Rico. She has been in independent private practice in Knoxville at 4877 Chambliss Avenue until December 2021 when she relocated her practice to join the Northshore Group. Dr. Masini is a member of the Knoxville Area, Tennessee and American Psychological Association, a board member of the Behavioral Health Awareness Coalition of E. TN and a certified EMDR clinician. Her approach to psychotherapy is informed by her experience and training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Family Systems, Internal Family Systems and EMDR. More importantly, however, she values providing a safe environment for her clients, based on collaboration and mutual trust.
